Develop mechanical and plumbing design documents for use in permitting and construction. These design drawings will be signed and sealed by a licensed engineer in the State of Texas. These design documents can then be provided to contractors for bidding, permitting and construction purposes.

Design-build is a method of construction project delivery where the team works on a single contract which includes both design and construction services. The design-build team consists of designers and contractors, who work together from the beginning as one entity. This method can be less expensive and faster than the traditional Design-Bid-Build method; sometimes up to 6% less. FPC will consult with the customer to help develop design and construction criteria first. Next, the design documents will be prepared along with cost estimates. Once the design performance and construction cost is finalized, FPC will manage/oversee the mechanical and plumbing installation.

The design-assist method allows for design services to be contracted to the owner while also permitting contractor input in the development of design documents. This method is an excellent way to involve the construction contractors to provide input on construction cost and constructability with the owner still directly contracting the architect/engineers. Standard deliverables include three cost estimates during the design process, usually at the SD, DD, and CD design stages. This allows for the owner and design team to gain a sense of real time cost impact to their design development and to minimize any construction cost surprises once the project is ready for construction.

The commissioning process is a quality-focused process for enhancing the delivery of a project by achieving, validating, and documenting the performance of facility elements in meeting the owner’s objectives and criteria.
